The Class of 2011 holds 27 school records between winter and spring track, and of those, the five of them hold or co-hold 21. Their performances at Nationals were last hurrah for a senior group that collectively turned Pembroke High School from the new kid on the block to a nationally recognized program in their four years.
As freshmen, the Class of 2011 helped Pembroke capture the Division IV girls track State Championship, a feat they duplicated as sophomores, and finished second in Division III each of the last two springs. Not to be outdone, the boys team captured Bathing Suit  the Division IV crown in 2009, and took second in Division III this year.
In cross-country, they helped the boys team win back-to-back Eastern Mass. and All-State Championships while running all the way to Nike Nationals in Oregon. The girls cross-country team also captured their first Eastern Mass. championship last fall.
But more importantly to Zopatti, the Class of 2011 helped build the track and cross-country programs almost into a school within a school, with numbers that dwarf most of their Fisher Division Patriot League rivals as well as some of their larger Keenan Division school teams. This is, perhaps, why Zopatti said he finds it hard to talk about the end of their careers as Pembroke High School.
“I’ve almost avoided talking about it,” Sunglass Oakley    he said. “It’s definitely difficult to put into words what that graduating class did. There is a good vibe on this team, it’s like a family, and that was really created by them.”
Kelley and Adams ended their careers as Titans by finishing sixth in the nation in the mile relay with Pembroke juniors Joe Vercollone and Wesley Gallagher to go out as All-Americans. For Adams, it brought a sense of closure to a successful senior season.
“It felt like the end,” he said. “And it was a really high note to go out on.”
Kelley had his moment somewhat tainted by an officiating error that cost him a personal best mile time as well, as a chance at the fastest mile relay time in
Louis Vuitton Speedy     Massachusetts history, but despite his disappointment, he said he was happy to go out as an All-American.
“I was pretty bummed out [about the mile relay] when it happened, but now that it’s been a few days, it was pretty awesome,” he said. “It was a nice was to finish, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
While most of the runners have a little down time to soak in the end before they begin their college workouts, Connick didn’t get much reflection time Mens Underwear  as she boarded a plane to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs on Wednesday. She was on the fence about the trip to Nationals because of timing, but said she was glad she had one last run with her high school teammates.
“It was crazy that after four years, this was the last thing I did in Pembroke,” she said. “It was a really fun way to end it.”
