Gucci T shirts event provides supplies, faith

Nancy Wright, who was in charge of the clothes distribution at “back2school,” said she saw Bowden’s young daughter after she got new shoes, socks and gently-used clothing. The girl was hugging the clothes next to her chest and looking down at her new shoes and smiling, Wright said.
She can identify. “I am one of 10 children and grew up in West Virginia” until she moved to this area when she was 14. “I wore hand-me-down clothes ... .”
Wright said she was especially moved by the smiles on  ck mens underwear children’s and parents’ faces and the gratitude of parents. “They can’t thank you enough.”
Lisa Brim of Martinsville, who has a part-time job, was with her 4-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter picking out clothing items. “I think it’s great. It saves parents money on school supplies,” she said. “The shoes are the most expensive (item).”
